Ceilidh Sat May 25th

Awesome ceilidh line up May 25th at 7pm in Hunter River at the Central Queens United Church! (Just a few doors down from Harmony House Theatre – no show there tomorrow so come to this one 🙂

 7:00-7:10 Diane Adams solo (retired teacher, enjoys performing at various ceilidh’s in the area, accompanied by Hazel St Amand on piano and Billy Murnaghan on bass)

 7:10-7:20 Billy Murnaghan solo (well known seasoned musician and founder of The Tremtones, PEI’s first Rock & Roll Band, from the 50’s to the 70’s, later winning the Stompin’ Tom Award in the 2008 ECMA’s)

 7:20-7:35 Buddy Longaphie and Duncan Matheson (fiddle/piano) Buddy is a well know fiddler in the ceilidh circle, originally from Souris and a member of the Queens County Fiddlers. Duncan, well known as one of our Islands best on keyboards in many ceilidh venues and other musical events.

 7:35-7:40 Just Wee Two Dancers (step-dancing) (multi-talented sisters Ann Campbell and Molly White have been dancing, playing music and singing all their lives, and entertain regularly at many nursing homes from Charlottetown to Souris)

 7:40-8:00 Trivers Trio (mixed) (Brad Trivers, Betty Pound, Charles Reid) (guitar, mandolin, vocal harmonies, stand up bass – thanks Susan Mattinson!)

 8:00 – 8:20 Intermission

 8:20-8:30 Buddy Longaphie & Duncan Matheson (fiddle/piano)

 8:30-8:55 Retrofrets (mixed) (Ukulele Group for past 1 1⁄2 years entertaining in many ceilidh’s and senior care facilities.)

Admission by donation to the church.
