Chili and Chat Town Hall in North Rustico

April 15, 2026 by Bailey Clark

On April 15, 2026, Brad hosted a Chili and Chat Town Hall at the Star of the Sea Seniors Club in North Rustico. There was a good turnout, with a couple of dozen people in attendance.

The evening began with complimentary meat and vegetarian chili prepared by Brad under the supervision of Anne Zakem that got rave review. Please find the recipe appended below!

After the meal, Brad hosted a town hall. Brad first gave an overview of his new role as Speaker. He explained that he is still an MLA and will continue to advocate for the people of District 18 (see fuller explanation here).

The North Shore Climate Action for Resilience group then shared the results of its transportation strategy survey.

The rest of the evening was spent in lively and productive conversation across many topics of interest. All those present showed an uplifting dedication to their neighbours and a strong commitment to improving their community.

The evening would not have been nearly as successful if it were not for the efforts of two volunteers, Kathy Holmes and Donna Nicholson—thank you! And thank you to all those who attended!
