Waste and compost above and beyond what can be picked up at residences can be taken to Waste Watch Drop-off Centers (WWDC) such as the New London dump. The following issues were raised:
- “Only one staff person is on duty, so there is no one to aid with unloading of larger waste items.”
- “For residential customers, why does an additional fee have to be paid when dropping off items at a WWDC when the transportation costs and effort to deliver the waste is being bourne by the resident already?”
Suggestion: “Increase waste watch fees to allow hiring of an additional person at WWDC’s, and stop charging residential customers for dropping off waste.”
