Andrew Scheer with Brad Trivers on Canada Day

July 3, 2017 by Brad Trivers

Federal Conservative Party of Canada leader Andrew Scheer and his family visited North Rustico for Canada Day this year, including the boat parade.  Thanks to Paul Doiron for providing the boat – Doiron Fisheries themselves celebrating 60 years of business this year!

Andrew Scheer is a down-to-earth, intelligent, and positive leader who himself represents the #backtobasics philosophy.  Two points he mentioned were that the Justin Trudeau government did not choose a Minister of Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency from our region – but from Toronto, and the Official Opposition had to really push to ensure that a judge from Atlantic Canada was appointed as a supreme court justice.  This despite the fact that all 32 MP’s from Atlantic Canada are part of the Justin Trudeau caucus!

Here are some photos and videos from Canada Day 2017 in North Rustico PEI.
